Private Lessons

Available to everyone.  Private lessons are most appropriate for dogs with aggression problems toward other dogs or humans (or anything else), as well as for dogs with separation issues.  While any owner may request private lessons, most dogs and owners benefit from learning in a group class environment.  Since no two dogs are alike the number of lessons needed may vary, but typically we recommend a series of four lessons set two to three weeks apart ($100 per lesson, pre-payment required for first lesson).  Lessons will be conducted at our facility or any other designated location determined by your trainer.  Please call us at 371-3647 to schedule a behavior evaluation to discuss your dog's issues.

Please bring a copy of your dog's vaccination records, a six-foot leash and a  Martingale (no-slip) collar  to your lesson. We DO NOT allow retractable leashes, harnesses, or pinch, choke or shock collars.  Please note that the Martingale collar should be worn only under supervision.

In-home lessons and lessons performed away from our training center are only scheduled at your trainer's discretion if your training program requires it.  Lee Mannix only schedules "Away Lessons" on Wed and Thurs.

When Nikki, the boxer pictured here, first came to see Lee she couldn't be within 100 feet of another dog without showing explosive, aggressive behavior. She is now a Canine Good Citizen, which required her to pass another dog on leash while the owners stopped to shake hands and visit.  Nikki is also an Advanced Agility graduate.  Nikki - you've come a long way, baby!

CANCELLATION POLICY for evaluations and private lessons held in office:  Please give us 24hours notice for cancellation to receive a refund or credit.
